I met Patt on the support group for COPD caregivers’ forum. She was very helpful to me and so many others on the postings
for those experiencing the horrors of persons suffering from the breathing disorders.
I found out she was an artist and requested to see her art to do a symbolology analysis. I analyzed it and shared the results
with Patt and in so doing I was able to see more into her as a person.
Patts art is an expression of her subconscious. The only limits to her art are her own conscious mind setting limitations.  Patt
will start to think about doing an art piece then when she asks herself if she can accomplish the work she is in a conflict.
Her subconscious is the creator of the art .The conscious mind tries to be practical and limits her size and expression. Her
best works are when she does not allow the limits to be the deciding factor to her expression in the art pieces.
Patt sees in brighter hues than most people. This is presented in her works; she does not paint anything without emotional
connection.  The deeper the emotion she is experiencing the brighter or darker the colors become.
Patt sees that inanimate objects have life and personalities within the shapes and colors. Trees carry a personality of
emotions expressed in people around her. She feels these emotions like the wind and is affected by the breeze that contacts
her. She does not shield herself from these natures’ forces but bares herself to these emotions.  This is like a lady in a bikini
facing a hurricane at times. What she feels- she paints.
Within the cars paintings is a passageway to her view of herself. The reflections show the places she wants to be or the
changes she wants to see.   Patt sees that animals have their own expression of their needs from their actions. She captures
all this in her rendition of the animal "person".
In portraits of people; Patt sees into the spirit of the individual-- the eyes are expressive and the skin hues shows the good
and evil she sees in all her clients.
She sees and feels all the negative emotions and habits of the person she paints and she draws the positive out of everyone
she meets. It is her real strength which she fails to see the majority of the time.  I see this in the symbols she incorporates in
her work. These are found in the color, shapes, size and blends she uses.
Patt is a true artist, not pretentious, she has more ability than she has displayed to date.
I would like to see her work as it grows to the potential she is capable of developing.
